Thank you for visiting your Putnam County Recorder’s Web Site.
The Recorder serves as the custodian of a large number of public records. The records in Putnam County date back to the mid 1800’s. By law the recorder is charged with the accuracy and safekeeping of these records. Documents that are submitted for recording are scanned and microfilmed by the most modern methods available to maintain safe keeping and replication at any time. It is my responsibility to see that these records are preserved and available to you.
Recorders are elected to four-year terms by the citizens of their county. It is my honor and pleasure to serve the residents of Putnam County as your Recorder. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
The duties and authority of the Putnam County Recorder are established in the Ohio Revised Code Chapter 317.
